Rising water levels across the Central Coast to subside over the weekend

Water levels around the Wyong Shire aren’t expected to subside significantly until around Sunday, with high tides due over the next few days.

The Bunning Creek Bridge at Yarramalong has been water damaged after being inundated yesterday. The water level has since subsided, and drivers are being warned to be careful when crossing the structure It’ll be repaired over the weekend.

Several roads at Killarney Vale and Chittaway still remain closed to all but residential traffic.

The water levels in the lakes are around 70 centimetres above normal.

A flood warning is current for Tuggerah Lakes as a precautionary measure.
