Heavily armed police have surrounded a Mangrove Mountain property on the NSW Central Coast.
A NSW Police media spokesman said officers from Brisbane Waters local area command were called in at 9.30am today.
The initial report said shots had been fired at a car on Waratah Road.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police have now surrounded a property near the corner of Bloodtree Road and Wisemans Road, where they hope to apprehend the alleged gunman.
Several ambulances are on standby, and police have closed down surrounding roads.
The shooting is thought to have been related to a dispute with a neighbour.
