An incident has been reported by a MACS subscriber of heavy duty earthing copper cable being stolen from an Energy Australia power transformer in the Kulnura area. In addition, the Linesmen attending mentioned that there had been ten other incidents recently, including one at Bumble Hill.
Latest information is that each theft is costing $2,000 to repair, with a total cost of about $20,000 so far – and that’s only for our area.
