Informal Alert: Attempted Breakin Laguna Area

Update: CALL TO BE VIGILANT AS STRANGERS PROWL AROUND

There was another burglary on the Sunday.  It appears that all the burglaries have been committed by strangers in the Valley not locals. It also appears that the burglaries around Bucketty a couple of months ago have not be on the Police radar as they appear not to have been reported.

The local Wollombi Police Officer has requested:

1  Make sure that any houses, sheds, cars or anything else lockable are locked.

2  Keep an eye out for neighbours’ properties when they are not around and report any strange cars and movements around to Wollombi or Cessnock Police Stations.

It is believed by a MACS subscriber that four Cessnock police cars attended an attempted breakin in the Laguna area at midday today at a house next to the main road.  Local advice is that the breakin was attempted whilst the owner had gone to the local shop, but were unaware that a schoolchild was still at home.  It is understood that the schoolchild rang for assistance and that that this house had been burgled recently.

Any further information will be posted here. This informal alert was sent by email to MACS subscribers from Kulnura to Wollombi.
