Crater repairs almost complete

It is expected to cost more than half a million dollars to repair a massive hole in the road on the New South Wales Central Coast, caused by heavy rain two months ago.

The chasm, measuring 12 metres wide and six metres deep, opened up at East Gosford because of a fault in a large sewer main.

Gosford Council crews have this week completed repairs to the sewer main and have filled in the large hole.

The street is expected to re-open to traffic within a fortnight
