The Police confirmed our informal reports commencing in early March regarding the theft of copper wire. This included overhead telephone wire and heavy duty earthing copper cable from Energy Australia power transformers. The Police Crime Prevention Officer, Brisbane Water Local Area Command, provided fact sheets which you can download here.
The Police also emphasised the importance of all crime or criminal activity being reported :
